Product Description

  1. Carpet Shampoo is a multipurpose detergent which can be used for spot and steam cleaning of carpets.
  2. The room will smell clean and fresh after using Carpet Shampoo.
  3. Carpet Shampoo is non hazardous and requires no special precautions in use.
  4. Carpet Shampoo is a moderate foaming formula which will not require the use of antifoam in most situations steam cleaning applications.
  5. Carpet Shampoo is supplied as a super concentrate and comes packed in premeasured sachets to enable easy and accurate make up to correct strength.
  6. Each sachet makes five liters of Carpet Shampoo stock solution.
  7. Stock solution is dispensed from the stock bottle for further dilution at point of use.
  8. Carpet Shampoo is yellow in colour.

Typical Uses

  • Spot cleaning of carpets.
  • As an additive to wet extraction carpet machines.

Mixing of Product

  1. Carpet Shampoo stock solution is prepared by diluting the contents of one sachet of Carpet Shampoo(650ml) to 5000ml of water in the Carpet Shampoo stock bottle.
  2. Spot Cleaning solution is prepared by adding one pump of Carpet Shampoo stock solution to the Carpet Shampoo spray bottle and filling the bottle with water.

Spot Cleaning of Carpets

  1. Use a clean white, absorbent terry towel.
  2. Blot or tamp the spot.
  3. Pretest the carpet in an inconspicuous area.
  4. Clean the stain from the edge to the center.
  5. Apply cleaner to the towel.
  6. Clean with modest amounts of spot cleaning solution.
  7. Adhere to product safety and follow instructions.
  8. Remove the stain as soon as it is noticed.
  9. Remove the dirty excess before cleaning.
  10. Use cleaning compounds at luke warm temperature.

Wet Extraction Cleaning of Carpets

  1. Remove furniture from the room where practical.
  2. Vacuum the carpet to remove loose dust.
  3. Spray Spot Cleaning solution onto stains.
  4. Heat the water in the wet extraction machine to the correct temperature.
  5. Detergent addition varies with the design of the extraction unit. Adust dose to achieve the desired results.
  6. Use the extraction wand in the usual manner.

Safety Precautions

  1. The product requires no special precautions in normal use.
  2. As in handling any chemical, avoid contact with the eyes and prolonged contact with the skin.
  3. Use adequate ventilation.
  4. Wash hands thoroughly after use.

First Aid Procedures

Ingestion

  1. Give two glasses of water to dilute.
  2. Induce vomiting by sticking fingers down the throat.
  3. Call a Doctor.

Skin

Rinse concentrate from the skin with water.

Eyes

If the eyes are contacted, immediately rinse thoroughly with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
